MATERIALS: Clear (translucent) Plastic Canvas 14mesh White or ecru may be substituted. Stretcher Bars are recommended. Attach Plastic Canvas with staples or tacks. Threads: General Suggestions Smyrna Cross Border - Kreinik's 1/16 Ribbon, Fyre Werks, Ribbon Floss, Metallic Ribbon Floss, Tiara, Kreinik #8 Braid Background- Kreinik's 1/16 Ribbon, Fyre Werks, Ribbon Floss, Metallic Ribbon Floss Center Medallion - Kreinik's 1/16 Ribbon, Fyre Werks, Ribbon Floss, Metallic Ribbon Floss Since you won't be Beading your pin, consider Beading a set of Stitch Counters instead! Click HERE to get to the Beaded Stitch Counters. Color Combinations: General Suggestions The major design issue here is the contrast between the 2 colors used. If you want a strong variation in the Center Medallion, choose 2 colors which contrast strongly. If not, choose 2 colors which are close, as in the White and Green Pin which is beautiful but very subtle. For entirely different look, use just 1 color, . Using 2 Colors - Use Color 1 for the Smyrna Border, Color 2 for the Background and Color 1 for the Center Medallion. Use Color 1 and Color 2 for the Smyrna Border, Color 2 for the Background and Color 1 for the Center Medallion. Use Color 1 for the Smyrna Border, Color 1 for the Background and Color 2 for the Center Medallion. Background Stitch the Background next, being careful to match the Stitch orientation in the corners! Illustrated in Green on Diagram 1.
