CHARTED CANVAS 1
***Needlework as Personal
Adornment***
I am fascinated by the traditional separations we stitchers tend to impose
on Needlepoint and Cross Stitch.
Recent introductions of 18ct Linen in many lovely colors and 18m mono
canvas with metallic accents make the division seem artificial. As a
designer, I don't want to be prevented from designing with a beautiful
fabric because using it would place my work in one category over
another.
Lately, I've been exploring design concepts which blur
these boundaries.
I am pleased to introduce Tiny Treasures, designs charted
for both 18ct Linen and 18m mono canvas.
I am also experimenting with the embellishment of canvas, using
non-traditional painting techniques.
I offer canvas painting lessons in The Cabochon Collection.
In addition, I offer pre-painted background canvases for those who prefer
convenience.

The Cabochon Pendants are finished using my own Pendant Pals,
as well as the lovely Mill Hill Creative Charms. These quick
finishing options let you *Stitch it today, Wear it tonight*.
Each volume offers 3 different designs/charts, with suggestions for
additional options.
There are 3 colorways: Pastel, Jewel and Metallic, thanks to the
myriad of thread colors offered by Kreinik.
Fabric selections and suggestions take advantage of the many colors
showcased by Wichelt's 18 ct linen and the latest 18m canvas colors from
Zweigart,
accented with metallic threads.
I also include instructions on techniques to create your
own elegant Hand Painted backgrounds.

These are 6" x 6"
mono canvas and hand painted with metallic colors. They are designed to
offer and elegant, yet economical ready-painted background for The
Cabochon Collection, as well as, any Ornament or small design you want to
showcase. The painted area will fit nicely on a Pendant Pal,
Heavenly Hanger or Mill Hill's Creative Charms.
